Baseball Recap: Mill Creek Comes Up Short

Mill Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Caney Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bullfrogs of the 10-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Mill Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Caney, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Mill Creek will venture away from home to square off against Rock Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.29 runs per game on average), something the Bullfrogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Caney, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-2 defeat against Colbert on the 12th.
