It was a good run, but Junipero Serra unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fightin' Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Junipero Serra sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 20-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-13.

Junipero Serra's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-9.
