Saratoga Springs had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars 14-0 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Streaks sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

Thomas Mcnamara tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Saratoga Springs let Jack Covell and Raul Rodriguez run wild. Covell went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base, while Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Covell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Collier, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Saratoga Springs' record now sits at 19-6. As for Cicero-North Syracuse, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Saratoga Springs will take on Niagara Falls at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Streaks 3.7, the Wolverines 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Cicero-North Syracuse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
