Softball Recap: Hempstead Takes a Loss

Hempstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cedar Falls Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Wednesday.

Hempstead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cedar Falls, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Hempstead has already played their next matchup (against Linn-Mar), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cedar Falls, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Kennedy on the 5th.
