Soccer Game Preview: Nixa vs. Kickapoo

The Nixa Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Kickapoo Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Kickapoo will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Nixa extended their winning streak to six on Friday. The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand Glendale a 4-0 shutout. Give Nixa's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Kickapoo got the win against Ozark on Friday by a conclusive 5-1. Kickapoo have beaten Ozark the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Ozark has come to flipping the script.

Kickapoo's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Nixa, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.

Nixa beat Kickapoo by a goal when the teams last played back in April, winning 1-0. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chiefs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
