Soccer Game Preview: Kennedy vs. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART

The Kennedy Commanders will square off against the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Kennedy turned things around against DSST: Cedar on Thursday. They beat the Falcons by a goal, winning 2-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Denver West by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Vianey Gonzalez, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-5.

Kennedy might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Rocky Mountain Prep SMART when the teams last played back in March of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Commanders were down 4-0.
