Volleyball Game Preview: Niwot Cougars vs. Poudre Impalas

The Niwot Cougars will take on the Poudre Impalas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Niwot is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Cheyenne Mountain, who was ranked eighth at the time (Niwot was ranked 17th). The Cougars came out on top against the Red-Tailed Hawks by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Niwot walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 17-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Poudre came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win.

Poudre was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-16.

Niwot's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Poudre, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
