Basketball Game Preview: Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders vs. James Valley Christian Vikings

Sunshine Bible Academy hasn't had much luck against James Valley Christian recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders will be taking part in a tournament against the James Valley Christian Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sunshine Bible Academy is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were dealt a 77-29 loss at the hands of Wolsey-Wessington.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Trey Thieman, who posted nine points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jerome Big Eagle, who had six points.

Meanwhile, James Valley Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 68-64 to Iroquois/Lake Preston.

James Valley Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Sunshine Bible Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Sunshine Bible Academy might still be hurting after the 55-32 loss they got from James Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Sunshine Bible Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
