Football Recap: Vista Ridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vista Ridge can now relate to. They lost 38-14 to the Dripping Springs Tigers on Thursday. The Rangers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Vista Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Quinn Szczytowski, who rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown. Cameron Lacek was another key player, having thrown for 282 yards and onetouchdown.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dripping Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaceton Gotta, who rushed for 88 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. What's more, Gotta posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September. Another receiver making a difference was Cooper Reid, who picked up 103 receiving yards and two scores.

Vista Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Dripping Springs, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Vista Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dripping Springs, they will face off against Harlan at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine contests.
