Red Bud came tearing into Saturday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Maryville Christian Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Musketeers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Peyton Kreher paced Red Bud's offense, picking up seven kills. Kreher got some help from Norah Wagner and her 19 assists. Corbyn Legendre controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Red Bud's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Maryville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Red Bud didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against DuQuoin on the 15th. As for Maryville Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Trico on the 13th.
