Soccer Game Preview: Loudoun Valley vs. Heritage

The Loudoun Valley Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Heritage Pride at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Loudoun Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Rock Ridge 8-4. Loudoun Valley haven't had any issues with Rock Ridge recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Heritage was forced to settle for a draw. They and Dominion finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Monday.

With that draw, Heritage's record moves to 4-5-1. As for Loudoun Valley, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 2-6-2.

Loudoun Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Heritage when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
