Softball Recap: Cary-Grove Comes Up Short

Cary-Grove lost to Crystal Lake Central back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trojans lost 7-1 to the Tigers. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Cary-Grove saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paityn Ahlquist, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Ahlquist has brought in this season.

Cary-Grove's record now sits at 1-7. As for Crystal Lake Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cary-Grove will square off against rival Dundee-Crown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Crystal Lake Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Jacobs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
