The Brentwood War Eagles will square off against the Windsor Academy Knights on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Brentwood sitting on four straight victories and Windsor Academy on three.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Brentwood against Gatewood as the squad secured a 48-14 win. The War Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Abe Williams produced another solid effort rushing for 147 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries, while also picking up 62 receiving yards. Those 147 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tristan Robinson, who gained 160 total yards and a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brentwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 164 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Brentwood, adding 18 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Quez Collins, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Windsor Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Cavaliers 35-8. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.
Windsor Academy's win came from a few key players Brentwood will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Heath Woodard, who threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Windsor Academy's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-7 when he doesn't). Dalton Sims was Woodard's top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Brentwood's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Windsor Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Everything came up roses for Brentwood against Windsor Academy when the teams last played back in September of 2017, as the team secured a 55-0 victory. Will the War Eagles repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
