After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Monmouth Regional, Rumson-Fair Haven was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Shore Regional Blue Devils  a   7-0 shutout. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered  a  5-4  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Cooper Jones tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits over six innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Nate Margulies was  incredible,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.  DJ Ylagan was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Rumson-Fair Haven is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Shore Regional, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Looking ahead, Rumson-Fair Haven will face off against Red Bank Catholic at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Caseys' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5  runs per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Shore Regional, they will venture away from home to  take on Red Bank Regional  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
