Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Bennington

Bennington had won four straight games and Skylar Johnson did her part to make it five on Wednesday. The Bennington Badgers walked away with a 55-43 victory over the Blair Bears with plenty of help from Johnson, who went 9-for-15 to rack up 24 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. What's more, she posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Harper Bohaboj was another key player, putting up six points along with ten assists and seven boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

Blair's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Wulf, who put up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Addie Sullivan, who earned 11 points.

Bennington pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points over those games. As for Blair, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-10.

Bennington will have a chance to go back-to-back against Blair: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
