Softball Recap: Boswell Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Crowley last Tuesday, Boswell came back down to earth. The Pioneers fell 6-2 to the Mansfield Legacy Broncos on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in March.

Boswell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Watson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run. Samantha Cruz also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Boswell's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Mansfield Legacy, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Boswell will take on rival North Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mansfield Legacy is set to face off against their familiar foe Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
