Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Clearwater

Clearwater had won six straight games and Keshawn Andrews did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Clearwater Tornadoes strolled past the Largo Packers with points to spare, taking the game 67-51 thanks in part to Andrews, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Zain Watson, who posted four points in addition to five boards and three steals. Watson is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Clearwater pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Largo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Clearwater and Sumner will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sumner is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.1 points per game this season. As for Largo, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sickles at 4:30 a.m. on January 1, 2025.
