Basketball Recap: Lake Belton Comes Up Short

Lake Belton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 94-48 loss at the hands of the Ellison Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 88-53 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Lake Belton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Ellison, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Lake Belton will welcome Waco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ellison, they will venture away from home to square off against University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ellison's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
