Softball Game Preview: Coral Park Rams vs. Varela Vipers

The Coral Park Rams will face off against the Varela Vipers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row dating back to last season, Coral Park turned things around against Archbishop Carroll on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 18-5 win. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Varela hadn't done well against Southridge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Everything went Varela's way against Southridge as Varela made off with a 17-6 victory. The Vipers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21, 2024.

Varela's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Coral Park, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
