Soccer Recap: Basalt Comes Up Short + How To Watch

There was early excitement for Basalt after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Summit Tigers by a score of 2-1. Basalt were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Summit apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Basalt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Summit, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Basalt will challenge Delta at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be Basalt's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Summit, they will face off against Roaring Fork at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
