Basketball Game Preview: Northfield Nighthawks vs. Regis Jesuit Raiders

The Northfield Nighthawks will take on the Regis Jesuit Raiders in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Northfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Skyview by a score of 59-49 last Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Nighthawks.

Northfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison Bethel led the charge by putting up 13 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Herron, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 19 points.

Meanwhile, Regis Jesuit didn't have too much trouble with Arapahoe on Saturday as they won 76-62.

Regis Jesuit pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Northfield, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Northfield was taken down by Regis Jesuit 73-20 when the teams last played back in January of 2021. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northfield was down 48-9.
