Basketball Game Preview: Lakeland Christian Vikings vs. Tohopekaliga Tigers + How To Watch

The Lakeland Christian Vikings will face off against the Tohopekaliga Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.

Lakeland Christian is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Zephyrhills on Tuesday. The Vikings came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 50-42. The game was the first time the Vikings have beaten the Bulldogs on their court since January 14, 2021.

Joseph Donohue and D.J. Howard were among the main playmakers for Lakeland Christian as the former went 8-for-17 to rack up 21 points along with six steals and five rebounds and the latter shot 44% from the field en route to 17 points and three steals. Donohue's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cael Straub, who posted five points.

Meanwhile, Tohopekaliga posted their closest victory since January 10th on Wednesday. They skirted past Innovation 62-60.

Tohopekaliga's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. As for Lakeland Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
