Baseball Recap: Pacifica Christian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Western Christian last Tuesday, Pacifica Christian came back down to earth. The Tritons fell 7-3 to the Temescal Canyon Titans on Monday.

Scout Escobedo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. He has become a key player for Pacifica Christian: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of John Coopman, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Pacifica Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Temescal Canyon, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-3-1.

Looking ahead, Pacifica Christian will host Santa Fe at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Temescal Canyon, they will venture away from home to square off against San Jacinto at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.13 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
