Basketball Recap: Unity Comes Up Short

Unity was the 73-65 winner over Somerset when they last played one another back in December of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Unity Eagles were dealt a 65-25 loss at the hands of the Somerset Spartans on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Spartans are ranked 156th).

This is the second loss in a row for Unity and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Somerset, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

When Unity and Somerset next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Unity will try to stop Cameron's five-game winning streak when the meet at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Somerset will face off against Durand-Arkansaw and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
