The victory made it two in a row for NSU University and bumps their season record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Gulf Coast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Gulf Coast's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: NSU University hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367.
