Mead had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Ferris Saxons 3-0 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Saxons: they've now won nine in a row.

Mead never let Ferris on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-18.

Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mead will square off against Post Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ferris, they will face off against Shadle Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
