Baseball Recap: Cordova Lancers vs. Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack
After a string of three wins, Cordova's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack.
Levi Nyberg was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nyberg has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. Nyberg was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Nyberg wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Logan Salazar, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI.
