Recap: Spencer Greenwave vs. Harris County Tigers
After flying high against the Northeast Raiders on Friday, the Spencer Greenwave came back down to earth. Spencer took a 50-33 bruising from Harris County on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Spencer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Harris County is ranked 67th).
Spencer's loss came despite strong showings from Alexandria Berk and Malaja Dyous. Berk scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Dyous scored seven points along with 11 rebounds. Berk hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Nadra Rosser was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Harris County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencer will take on Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harris County, they will be playing at home against Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
