Volleyball Recap: Sweetwater Takes a Loss

Sweetwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Southwest SD Raiders. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Sweetwater was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Southwest SD work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 18-25, 27-25.

Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 14-21. As for Southwest SD, they moved to 11-12 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Coincidentally, Sweetwater and Southwest SD will both be playing Olympian the next time they take the court. The Raiders will host the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Red Devils will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
