Volleyball Recap: Futures Extends Winning Streak to 11

Futures waltzed into their contest on Friday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. Everything went their way against the Capital College & Career Academy Ants as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-7, 25-17.

Futures got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Svetlana Blyshchyk out in front who had 13 digs, nine kills, and nine aces. With that strong performance, Blyshchyk is now averaging an impressive 2.3 aces per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Blyshchyk, who had 11 kills, 11 aces, and four digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Futures was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 32 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Futures' victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Capital College & Career Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Futures wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Foresthill on the 21st. Capital College & Career Academy has also already played their next matchup (against Adventure Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
