Basketball Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 41-31 to the Santiam Wolverines. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Santiam, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

While Monroe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
