West Orange-Stark is 8-2 against Vidor since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The West Orange-Stark Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Vidor Pirates at 6:30 p.m.

West Orange-Stark came up short against Bridge City on Saturday, falling 67-43.

Meanwhile, Vidor strolled past Little Cypress-Mauriceville with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-37. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Bears are ranked 781st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vidor is also on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. As for West Orange-Stark, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

West Orange-Stark won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting on January 7th, slipping by Vidor 54-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Orange-Stark since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
