Baseball Recap: Victory Christian Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Victory Christian's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Appalachian Eagles on Thursday. The Lions have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Victory Christian now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Appalachian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victory Christian will welcome Wellborn at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Appalachian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pennington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
