Baseball Game Preview: Balboa Buccaneers vs. Stuart Hall Knights

The Balboa Buccaneers are taking a road trip to square off against the Stuart Hall Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither Balboa nor Stuart Hall posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Mills hit Balboa with a five-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Buccaneers lost 11-1 to the Vikings. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Balboa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Gwinn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Stuart Hall unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Mary's on Wednesday.
