Softball Recap: Los Banos Victorious

Los Banos proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Orestimba Warriors 2-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mya Arista spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Los Banos' win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Orozco, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Los Banos now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Orestimba, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Los Banos has already played their next contest, an 8-3 victory against Pacheco on the 25th. As for Orestimba, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-0 win against Gustine on the 25th.
