Basketball Recap: Taravella Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stoneman Douglas, Taravella was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 46-36 win over the Boyd Anderson Cobras. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 52-25 victory the Cobras walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Boyd Anderson still got an impressive performance from Amariah Tomlinson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Tomlinson a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Garnia Beauvais, who posted four points and 13 rebounds.

Taravella's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Boyd Anderson, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Taravella will face off against West Broward on February 4th. As for Boyd Anderson, they will square off against Deerfield Beach on February 4th.
