Basketball Game Preview: Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks vs. Liberty Chargers

Cornerstone Charter Academy is on a three-game streak of home losses, Liberty a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks will get right back to it and host the Liberty Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Cornerstone Charter Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Christian Learning Academy and fell 52-49.

Despite the defeat, Cornerstone Charter Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lalelei Cox posted 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cox has scored all season. Aalisha Jackson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Liberty had to suffer through a 49-22 loss at the hands of Poinciana.

Cornerstone Charter Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Liberty, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Cornerstone Charter Academy beat Liberty 39-26 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Liberty's India Smith, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 steals. Now that she won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Cornerstone Charter Academy to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
