Volleyball Recap: Founders Classical Academy Comes Up Short

If Founders Classical Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of American Heritage Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Centurions came up short against the GV Christian Guardians on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Centurions in their meetings with the Guardians: they've now lost seven in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.

GV Christian found their leader in sophomore Gabriella Delgado, who had 13 assists and three aces. Delgado has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Founders Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for GV Christian, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-4.

Founders Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Lake Mead Christian Academy on the 24th. As for GV Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Needles on the 23rd.
