Softball Recap: Newman International Academy Starts off Right with Win over Temple Christian

Newman International Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Temple Christian Eagles.

Itzy Prado and Morgan Brooks did most of the damage at the plate: Prado scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Brooks went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Prado, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Newman International Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Temple Christian only posted a batting average of .000.

Newman International Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Temple Christian, they will challenge Nazarene Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
