Softball Recap: Summit Spartans vs. Independence Eagles

Summit waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Independence Eagles. For Summit, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 defeat Independence walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Ashlyn Easley was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Lakyn Canada, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
