Soccer Recap: Mountain House Takes a Loss

If Mountain House was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Central Catholic back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mountain House Mustangs came up short against the Patterson Tigers on Tuesday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 556th, while the Tigers are ranked 88th).

Luis Gabriel Reynoso and Zoheb Islam scored both of Mountain House's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Mountain House now has a losing record at 7-8-1. As for Patterson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-0-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain House will head out to square off against Manteca at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patterson, they are taking a road trip to take on Oakdale at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Patterson has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 18 goals over their last three contests.
