Football Recap: Davinci Starts off Right with Win over St. Augustine

DaVinci gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-6 win over the St. Augustine Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

DaVinci didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Andre Hayes picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DaVinci is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Jubilee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Augustine, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Annapolis Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
