Baseball Recap: Montgomery Central Wins Going Away Against High Point Central

Montgomery Central had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 22-run drubbing they dealt High Point Central on Tuesday. The Timberwolves never let the Bison get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory. That looming 22-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Timberwolves yet this season.

Tanner Lucas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lucas was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Montgomery Central let Gage McRae and Ian Auman run wild. McRae went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Auman went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave McRae a new career-high.
