Baseball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Andres Gonzalez and Taison Miller Lead Gahr to Victory

Gahr's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bellflower Buccaneers a 6-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Gladiators in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Noah Irwin's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Taison Miller and Andres Gonzalez did most of the damage at the plate: Miller went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

Gahr hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Gahr's record is now 14-10. As for Bellflower, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.

Gahr will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Buccaneers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
