With a playoff win on the line, Mingo Valley Christian rose to the challenge on Thursday. They breezed past Cristo Rey to the tune of 43-7. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Among those leading the charge was Abby Steele, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Rylee Hitchcock, who earned eight points.

Mingo Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Cristo Rey, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Mingo Valley Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-35 defeat against Destiny Christian on the 14th. Cristo Rey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
