Basketball Recap: Chipley Piles Up the Points Against Bozeman

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holmes County, Chipley was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Bozeman Bucks 51-16. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-9.

Chipley was led to victory by Addyson Suggs and Sarayah Hogan. Suggs went 8 of 11 en route to 17 points, while Hogan posted 13 points along with seven assists and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Hogan a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Staten, who earned two points in addition to seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Chipley was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Chipley's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Bozeman, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Chipley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-36 loss against Mosley on the 28th. Bozeman has also already played their next game (against South Walton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
