Baseball Recap: Mott Haven Gets the Win

Mott Haven lost to Smith on Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Mavericks came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 5-2.

Luis Garcia was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Francisco Abud, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Mott Haven now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Smith, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mott Haven will venture away from home to take on Bathgate at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Smith, they will head out to challenge Evander Childs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
