Mandarin triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Nykeria Thomas

Recap: Mandarin Mustangs vs. Atlantic Coast Stingrays
The Mandarin Mustangs waltzed into Thursday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Atlantic Coast by a score of 52-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mandarin also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Mandarin can attribute much of their success to Nykeria Thomas, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals. Thomas is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kourtney Johnson, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals.
Mandarin's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Atlantic Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mandarin will take on Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atlantic Coast, they will head out on the road to face off against Fletcher at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
