Basketball Recap: Owen Burk's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Armuchee over Chattooga

Armuchee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Chattooga Indians, falling 69-45. While losing is never fun, Armuchee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 517th, while Chattooga is ranked 249th).

Armuchee lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Owen Burk, who posted six points and seven boards. Matt Cowart was another key player, putting up ten points.

Armuchee's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Chattooga, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Armuchee nor Chattooga have any future games scheduled.
