Basketball Recap: Harmon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Harmon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 65-50 bruising from the Turner Golden Bears. The Hawks lost against the Golden Bears in their previous head to head back in January of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 68-29 score last time.

Turner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyland Mcgee led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. The Golden Bears are 2-1 when Mcgee posts 15 or more points, but 2-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Emerson Hamilton, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Harmon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Turner, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

Looking ahead, Harmon won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wyandotte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Turner, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Shawnee Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Bears will be up against the Thunderbirds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.73 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
